Bertha Anne Zimmerman, 91, of Covington Commons, Fort Wayne, Ind., died on Jan. 24, 2002, in Golden Years Homestead.

Born on Oct. 29, 1910, in Mishawaka, Ind., she was a lifetime resident of the area before moving to Fort Wayne five years ago. On Feb. 8, 1932, she married George T. Zimmerman. Mrs. Zimmerman was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband, George Zimmerman. She was also preceded in death by her son, Peter.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Vernasco and Kathleen Pascarella, both of Fort Wayne, and Margaret Underdown of Columbus, Ga.; and a son, George T. Jr. of Saratoga, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Marian Burkhart of Florida and Margaret Sherry of Mishawaka.

Her family is celebrating her life at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, with a memorial Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, followed by an interment graveside service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
