Elizabeth Zimmerman

Mrs. Elizabeth Zimmerman, widow of the late Charles Zimmerman, one of Mishawaka’s oldest residents, passed away Tuesday afternoon at 1:40 o’clock at the family residence, 118 North Main Street, aged 66 years. She had been ill for about a year with dropsy and heart trouble and her death was not unexpected. She leaves the following children; Mrs. Lena Tramer, William Zimmerman, Mrs. John Walker, Miss Clara Zimmerman, Edward Zimmerman, all of Mishawaka; and Mrs. William Smith of South Bend; and one sister and six brothers. They are; Mrs. F. W. Kuss of Mishawaka; Christian Weiss of near Granger; Ulrich and Henry and William Weiss, of south of Mishawaka; John Weiss of Bremen, and Joseph Weiss of Osceola.

 

She was born in Starke County, Ohio on May 4, 1837, and had lived in Mishawaka the greater part of her life, where she was very well known. Since the age of 16 she had been a prominent and comnsistent member of the Firest Church of the Evangelical Association. The funeral will be at 2 o’clock thisa afternoon from the New Evangelical Church, services by Rev. L. Newman.
