V. Jane Zimmerman, 79, of Virginia Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 8:31 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Jane was born on Dec. 12, 1924, in Kirkmansville, Ky., to Jewell and Mertie (Henderson) Johnson, who both have preceded her in death. Jane was also preceded by her son, Thomas J. Zimmerman in 1988; and her nephew, John Nosow in 2003.

On July 12, 1947, in Hopkinsville, Ky., V. Jane Johnson married Fredrick N. Zimmerman. Fredrick survives along with twin granddaughters, Mary Stephenson and her husband Richard of Beamont, Texas, and Cathy Schader and her husband Brandon of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two great-granddaughters, Chase and Sydney Stephenson of Beamont, Texas; and one sister, Wilma Nosow and her husband Ed of Lexington, Ky.; and her niece, Emily Hall of Lexington.

There will be no visitation or services. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 535 W. Edison Unit #6, Mishawaka, IN. 46545.
