Joseph F. Ziolkowski

Joseph F. Ziolkowski, 83, of S. Kaley Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 2:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, in St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center.

 

He was born on February 26, 1916, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Ziolkowski retired from Raco in 1983 after 18 years of service. He was also a former employee of the former Studebaker Corporation for 14 years.

 

On April 14, 1942, in South Bend, he married Virginia Cholasinski, who survives.

 

He is also survived by two sons, Randy Ziolkowski of Denver, Colo. and Michael (Anna) Ziolkowski of South Bend; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Ziolkowski of South Bend; three grandchildren, Chad Michael Ziolkowski and Kristopher Lee Ziolkowski, both of Chicago, Ill., and Angela Marie Ziolkowski of South Bend; one sister, Irene Pawlak of South Bend; and by one brother, Henry Ziolkowski of South Bend.

 

Mr. Ziolkowski was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Al, and Casimer.

 

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road.

 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home, with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

Mr. Ziolkowski was a lifetime member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and was also an Army veteran of World War II.
