Patsy Zirille Sr.

June 21, 1917 – Aug. 14, 1983

MISHAWAKA – Services for Patsy (Pat) Zirille, 66, of 2603 N. Main Street, will be at 19 a.m. Tuesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. He died at 10 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness. Rev, Thaddeus Kwak, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The VFW Post 360 will hold graveside memorial services. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Home, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m.

 

Born on June 21, 1917 in Anderson, Ind. he lived most of his life in the Mishawaka area.

 

On Oct. 30, 1948 in Mansfield, Ohio, he married the former Helen E. Zartman, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Susan Zirille of Mishawaka; two sons, Patrick Jr. and James Zirille, both of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Myrlan Margaret) Miller of Mishawaka and Mrs. Betty Keenan of Massena, N.Y and four brothers, Michael, Dominic, Joseph and Frank Zirille, all of Mishawaka.

 

He retired in 1974 after 35 years of employment at Uniroyal Inc. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Monica’s Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge 2083 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 300. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Cancer Society.
