Sister M. Archangela Zmudzinski CSC, 85, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday in the convent. She was born Feb. 11, 1906 in South Bend. She entered the Congregation of the Sister of the Holy Cross on Oct. 30, 1923; was received as a novice Aug. 14, 1924; and professed her final vows Aug. 15, 1926. She was an elementary school teacher at St. Hedwig, Holy Cross, and St. Joseph grade schools in South Bend. She also served in Elkhart, Union City, LaPorte, Crawfordsville, in Indiana, and California and Illinois, returning to the convent in 1969.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, both at St. Mary’s. Friends may call at the convent parlors after 3 p.m. Sunday.
