Adeline Zmyslo

SOUTH BEND - Adeline Zmyslo, 84, passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2010, in Sanctuary at St. Paul's, South Bend. Adeline was born on November 9, 1925, in South Bend to the late Adam and Matilda (Pazdiura) Slaby. On July 22, 1947, she married Chester Zmyslo, he preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Genevieve Kanczuzewski and Helen Berus. She is survived by her sister, Gloria (Norbert) Wasikowski of South Bend; and by her two brothers, Ed (Jeanette) Slaby of Granger and Eugene (Lucretia) Slaby of Annandale, VA. Adeline was a seamstress for H. D. Lee. She was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Thank you to St. Paul's Health Care Center for the assistance and good care given to Adeline. Visitation was from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary was prayed at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. For those who are unable to attend the funeral mass, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
