NEW CARLISLE - Raymond V. Zuniga, 73, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Indiana. Raymond was born on March 15, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, and retired from the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union Local 130 UA in 1992.

On August 31, 1963, Raymond married Luba Lazo, who survives. Surviving with his wife, Luba, are his children, Raymond (Julia) Zuniga of Florissant, Colorado, Ramona (Fred) Ingersoll of New Lenox, Illinois, Rick (Sandy) Zuniga of Florissant, Roxanne (Robert) Alberghine of York, Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren, Damien, Blake and Francesca Zuniga, and Adriana and Jayden Alberghine. Raymond was a member of American Legion Post 297 in New Carlisle.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, IN, where family members will share memories of Raymond at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278-6005.
