SOUTH BEND - Raymond "Jaber" Zwierzynski, 82, passed away at 2:13 p.m. on February 5, 2010, in Rivercrest Hospital, Mishawaka, IN. Raymond was born on October 31, 1927, in South Bend, to the late Peter and Laura Zwierzynski. On June 9, 1951, he married Charmaine (Arnold) Zwierzynski, who passed away on December 23, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Rader. He is survived by his two children, Lynn (Larry Booker) Zwierzynski of Seattle, WA, and Wayne Zwierzynski of South Bend; and by his two grandchildren, Jeremy and Brittany Zwierzynski. Ray enjoyed Notre Dame football and the Bears. He played Euchre and liked to fish. He was a member of American Legion Post 284. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at noon in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
