St. Monica's Grade School

This is a picture of the First Communion Class at St. Monica's Church in Mishawaka on May 15, 1921.
My father, Jack C. Strantz, was an alter boy and he is behind the 17th person from the right.
My mother, Mary (Lampert) Strantz is the 13th person from the right.
They re-met in 1930 when Mary was living in South Bend with her older sister, Elizabeth, and her family.
Elizabeth was having car trouble and called an auto mechanic and it was my dad who answered the call.
Jack and Mary Strantz were married on November 24, 1934.

In 1955 the 7th and 8th grade classes at St. Monica's School in Mishawaka took a bus trip to Washington D.C. to see all of the famous historic places of interest.  I am the boy behind girls 5 and 6 counting from the left.
