Davis Hotel

Reverse reads:

Davis Hotel, Sullivan, Indiana - 1 Block East of 41. It's like home, only different. It is inexpensive, orderly and restful. Famous for its good beds, comfortable and clean. The Davis Hotel Dining Room is particularly inviting, tasty food and excellent service. Guests enjoy the spacious lobby, which affords an open fire to cheer the winter's eve or cooling air to relieve the summer's heat. True Hoosier hospitality to create a memory which lingers.

The Davis House, which is the most modern hotel of Sullivan, was built by the Davis brothers, the plans being accepted in the summer of 1897 and construction work begun shortly afterwards. Its ground dimensions were 90 by 35 feet, and it was designed to have 48 sleeping rooms on the second and third floors. The front is of stone and pressed brick.
