Lucy J. SHAKE is listed in the Soundex for US 1900 census as living with her son Claud J SHAKE and his wife Alma F. in Haddon Twp.
of Sullivan Co. I'm trying to trace the family of Claud's older brother, Spencer Judson SHAKE. Spencer and his wife Mary Rebecca
(nee Brooks) lived in Sullivan Co. in 1888 (their daughter Madge Dell was born and died there that year) but they are a slippery
couple to get information about! Spencer's son Clarence in 1900 was 14 years old, and appears to have been farmed out to the family
of Lewis Swarens in Harrison Co. There is a "Hillie" SHAKE in the 1900 Sullivan Co. Soundex shown as living in Haddon Twp
with the Edgar Nash family, and I'd like to know if this name could actually be "Hallie", as Spencer and Mary had a
daughter Hallie Mae who would have been 18 in 1900. So, I actually have three questions: Could the "Hillie" in the
census really be "Hallie"? Is there a marriage record for Claud and Alma? Is anyone researching any SHAKE family
with Indiana connections?

My great grandfather was Roland Walker and I believe his second marriage was to a Fannie Spencer. He was from Carlisle, IN. If
you have any information on his parents (names, birth, death) that would be greatly appreciated. My great grandfather was named
Roland Walker. He had a brother Frank (or Francis) and a sister Emma. I think he was married twice, the second time to a Fannie
Spencer. I am looking for information on the parents of the three siblings (names, birth, marriage, death, etc). They were from
Carlisle, IN. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Court records Virgil PENNY, b.21 JUL 1879, Sullivan Co,IN. to James and Jennie Norris PENNY. Adopted by "a relative"
around age 9. Name apparently changed to Arthur Victor or Ardie Virgil PENNY. Who were adoptive parents? Was it a formal adoption
or just a guardianship? He used the name A.V. Penny on most documents as an adult. Death Certificate (FL) reads "Ardie V.
Penny" Thanks
