JOSEPH TRIMBLEJOSEPH TRIMBLE was the first child of five who was born to Charles G. and Susannah Cox Trimble. Joseph was born on Sept. 18, 1857. He married Loucina Celesta Dunbar on March 3, 1888. Loucina passed away in December 1929, Joseph in October 1939. Both are buried in the Bethany Cemetery. They were members of the Curch of Christ. Their children were John Trimble and Benjamin Harrison Trimble. John William was born June 5, 1892 and married Betsy Evalena Shake on Nov. 4, 1916. Benjamin Harrison Trimble was born Dec. 31, 1895 and married Kathryn Nask on Dec. 17, 1917. Kathryn died Oct. 20, 1951 and is buried at Bethany Cemetery. Their children were Wilda Oberene (born April 23, 1924) married Lee Ridgley on Nov.3, 1946; William Joseph (born March 23, 1927) married Mary Ashcraft on Aug. 21, 1927 and Martha Sue Trimble (born May 5, 1939)."SULLIVAN COUNTY 175th ANNIVERSARY" PADUCAH, KY, TURNER PUBLISHING COMPANY, 1991 © Sullivan County Historical Society |
