farmer, Posey Township, was born in 1799, in Kentucky. He came an infant with his parents to this county, grew up here, and married Alvira Palmer, daughter of William Palmer. Mr. Jones bought 160 acres in his twenty-first year, and subsequently bought and sold several different tracts. He has always followed farming; is a member of the Masonic fraternity, and an old and esteemed resident.
