Funeral Services Wednesday at Vevay, Burial at Jacksonville

Funeral services for Frank A. Truesdell, 67, who died yesterday morning at King's Daughters hospital where he was taken Saturday night for a heart ailment, will be conducted by Rev. E. E. McConnell, Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Haskell & Morrison funeral home in Vevay. Burial will be in Jacksonville cemetery.

Mr. Truesdell had spent most of his life in Switzerland county and was a respected citizen and successful farmer.

Besides his wife he leaves the following children, Alva at home; Louis and Harry of Brooksburg; Earl, who lives near Madison; Miss Grace Truesdell, at Cincinnati, O., and Mrs. Della Paul, of Lincoln, Nebraska. He leaves also a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Montague, of Manchester, Iowa.

Brooksburg Farmer Dies Early Monday

Burial Services Held At Local Funeral Home

Franklin A. Treasdale, noted farmer of the Brooksburg community, died at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison Monday morning, February 5th.

Mr Treasdale was born on Nov. 15, 1872, in Kansas and while still a young boy, he with his family removed to his present home. He was the son of Benjamin and Mercy Zerador Treasdale and on November 15, 1894 he was united in marriage to Florence M. Houze who survives him.

Also left to mourn his passing are six children, Earl Stafford of Hanover, Lewis and Alvo of Switzerland County, Harry of Jefferson County, Mrs. Della Paul of Lincoln, Nebraska and Grace Treasdale of Cincinnati.

He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Montanye of Iowa.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. E. McConell at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment was made in the Jacksonville cemetery.

[Note from submitter: Second obituary has several errors - in particular, Franklin's mother was Melissa Mead. Mercy Zerador Mead was his father's first wife and younger sister of Melissa, who died between 1860 and 1864.]

Pneumonia Fatal To Florence Truesdell In Madison Hospital

Fine Lady Succumbs Just Twenty-four Days After Her Husband Passes Away

Mrs. Florence H. Truesdell, widow of the late Franklin Truesdell, of Craig Township, passed away at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison about 6:30 a.m. on February 29th. Her death was due to pneumonia. 

The deceased was a daughter of Peter and Mary Bodle Houze and was born in Jefferson Township on September 18th, 1875. On November 15, 1894 she was united in marriage to Mr. Truesdell and this happy union had continued until his death on February 5th--just twenty-four days ago. 

She was a member of the Center Square Christian church and was held in the highest esteem by a great number of friends throughout the county. She was devoted to her family who adored her. 

Surviving are six children, Earl Truesdell of Hanover, Alvie at home, Louis of near Braytown, Harry of Brooksburg, Mrs. Della Paul of Lincoln, Nebraska and Grace Truesdell of Cincinnati. She also leaves two brothers, Alvie Houze of Bowling Green, Ky., and Clarence of Indianapolis. 

The funeral services, with Rev. E. E. McConnell officiating were held at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home here at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Following the services the remains were kept at the Home until weather conditions will permit interment in Jacksonville cemetery.
