My 2nd-grandmother, Martha Dye Sovern was born in Lafayette,
Tippecanoe Co., IN, on 3 Jan 1831, the daughter of Archibald and Margaret
Meredith Dye. She married William Penn Sovern in Lafayette on 4 Nov
1852, raised 8 children, died in Shadeland, Tippecanoe County, 16 Feb 1917.
She is buried next to her husband in the Sickler Cemetery.
