Barker Cemetery

"This cemetery is located in Union Twp., Vanderburgh Co., Indiana. It is on the Old Henderson Rd. 2.5 miles south of Deusner Rd. on the west side of the road. It is in an overgrown wooded area next to a field. It is about a quarter mile hike back to it. We were told that the Barker School was located next to it and that there were many other burials with stone at one time. The stones we did find had to be dug up because they were either sunken into the ground or have had layers of dirt, mud and silt built up on them over the years. Copied November 1983 by Bonnie S. Fehd and Glenda K. Trapp" 1

This is probably inventory number 300038 - Cemetery, off Old Henderson Road; 1871 - 1881 in the Vanderburgh County Interim Report.2

If you have any information on the "occupants" of this cemetery, please send them to me.
