NOTE: There is a small piece of the page torn out, from studying the book and what is left to read regarding the numbers and letters I believe that the numbers indicate the section within a township where people listed reside.

Township Info (not from the directory)

Each township is a 6 mile x 6 mile square. In each township are 36 squares or sections. Each section is a 1 mile square or 640 acres. These 36 sections are arranged in this manner:
