March 26/64

Dear Brother

I will drop you a few lines after wanting so long to hear from you. I am not well at this time. I fear I shall have a spell of sickness from again as I feel very much used up. They are all well at home and at Paps. But pap looks very feeble. he breaks very fast. I am at work here at this time But my business is dull here. I don't think I will stay here very long. There is two many gallerys here for us to do much here. I think they are all well at uncle Williams. I have not ben to his house for over two months. I see Billy and Fanny once in a while. I have not much news to write that would interest you as I don't no what the news is about Paris or Logan. Tip has gone off a soldiering. I hired him to utter (sitter?) and he let him go and did not let me no anything about his going until he had ben gone over a week. I will start after him in the morning. He is at Indianapilis if get him I will send him to some of the Illinois Regiments where some one I no will look after him. I will close as I feel so bad and do better the next time.
