July 21st, 1895

Dear Sallie, I take this oppertunity of droping you a few lines to inform you of our present health. We are only in tolerable health. Charley still has a very bad coughf. Mother is complaining Some. I rode to terrehoot yesterday horseback and my head is in a terible condition today. George is at work at Boltons this week, they will finish harvest today. Frank is at M Rhyans again. Old Jacob Whitesell died yesterday at one ocl his funaral is preached by D Ross at 1 ocl today at Rosehill. I have just Returned from the house the prossesion having left. James Bolton is getting much Better. Old Mrs Wolf Whitsell sister died a short time ago. Old John Funkhouser is confined to his Bed said to have cancer in his stomach. Bruce Whitesel and Allice Chunn came here and I maried them last thursday night. I had my saddle stolen of my mare in the stable at terrehaut yesterday, the proprietor of the Early house being Responsable for it. as soon as we Discovered that the saddle was stolen he started a posse in persuit. the theife was caught near St Mary, and is now in jail to await his trial. he has confessed the deed.

Mother Says that she thinks that you have had a perty good visit and if Millisa cannot come now that we will meet her at terrehaute at any time she can come. We would be very glad have her come now. Mother forgot your Ribbon when I rote Before. I send you Inclosed money to come hopeing to hear from you soon I close these lines.
