JOHN I. TAYLOR, 1402 Lincoln Way East, died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday
[December 01, 1955] en route to Memorial Hospital. He had not been ill. He was born in
Paoli [Orange County] Indiana December 25, 1878, and came here 35 years ago from Terre
Haute, Ind. He was a retired employee of the Northern Indiana Public Service Co.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Martha Antonides, South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m.
today in the Russell Funeral Home where the funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery [Lot 200 row 27 Sec. B next to his wife SARAH R.
TAYLOR 1878-1944].
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

old, who died at her home in West Terre Haute, Sunday, will be held at 10 am, Wednesday

FRANCIS MARION while visiting at the home of his daughter, Oceanus FURMAN
of Ypsilanti, Mich. 80 year old FRANCIS MARION "FRANK" THORNBURGH died Thursday
afternoon. Surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Lillian WOODS, Hammond, Ind. and Mrs.
Dora CONWAY, Indianapolis, Ind. Five sons, Lester and Arthur of Terre Haute, Orville of
Indianapolis, Ind. Alfred of Oakland, Calif., Earle of Norman, Ind., 29 grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren. The body will arrive in Terre Haute Friday and and will be taken
to the Gillis Memory Chapel. Burial will be in Grandview cemetery. March 1953.

LAURA ELLEN , 55 years old died at the residence, 629 South 10th St. at 11 pm
Saturday night. She is survived by her husband, FRANK M THORNBURGH, five sons, Lester,
Orville, Earle, Alfred and Arthur THORNBURGH, and four daughters, Lillian, Dora, Oceanus
and Ariatta, three sisters, Mrs. ELIZABETH CREASEY, Mrs. ANNA VAUGHT and Mrs. CORA
DELDINE, three brothers, William, Charlie and Joseph SNODGRASS, and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the residence at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, with continued
services at 2:30 at the Baptist church at 15th and Poplar St. Burial will be in Grandview
cemetery. Jan. 1933.

TORMOHLEN, MRS. BERTHA C.,
57 years old, died at the residence 1433 North Sixth Street, Wednesday morning at 3:40
oclock. She is survived by the husband, Dan; a son, Jack, of Terre Haute; a
daughter, Mrs. Warren Strait, of Terre Haute; a sister, Miss Mildred Dildine, of Terre
Haute; and a brother, Leslie Dildine, of Des Moines, Iowa. The body was taken to the
Gillis Funeral Home where short funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1
oclock with continued services at the Oak Hill Chapel at 2 oclock and burial
in Oak Hill Cemetery.

TURNER,
MRS. ETHEL ,aged 26 years,died at her home, 515 Locust Street, at 10:45 o'clock
Monday night. Mrs. Turner was ill for a few days with influenza. She is survived by her
husband George Turner;her parents , two brothers, on of whom is in France and the other in
training camp. The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday from the residence, and will
be private. Burial at Highland Lawn cemetery.
