VIGO CO., INDIANA QUERY: I am interested in contacting anyone researching the FEARS (or
FEAR) family in Vigo Co. I believe a John FEARS arrived in Vigo after selling property in
Jennings County in 1838. I want to know if he had a daughter, Perneta, who married John
Hansford of Monroe Co., Indiana.

PAYNE 4 Sep 1898 in Pimento, IN. Thursy Anna MILLER'S parents were William Vandyke MILLER
and Melda Caroline FIDLER (7 Oct 1849-30 Nov 1929).
Thursy's Grandparents were: John J. MILLER, Bill FIDLER and Bill FIDLER'S wife Rebecca.

researching Nathaniel Traverse family. Also family of Charles Warren Finnell. All of who
lived and died in Terre Haute. Son of Charles Warren Finnell, Arthue Robert Finnell,
daughter Wanda Lee Finnell married Claude Wesley Hoopingomer, daughter Susan Margaret
Finnell marries William K. Faust. The Travers/Traverse were in IN. by 1840 when I first
find them in the census. All help welcomed.

Searching for descendants of Green D. DAY (1826 - 1911), "colored barber". By
his wife Anne E., his children were George (1853), Mary D. FISHER (1855), Sarah (1857),
Nattie D. PATRIDGE (1863-1887), James (1866), Clara (1869-1881) and Lula D. SMITH (1881).
Green DAY co-owned a barbershop with his brother Silas DAY (1834-1905). Green moved to
Lost Creek about 1860 along with several of his siblings and his widowed mother.

Louise KRISE in 1870 and then by 1880 he was gone. They had 4 kids. No death records on
him at all. Thomas FOLEY m Rosa Bell SMITH. Divorced her in 1898/9. In 1900 she was with
her sister. Rosa Bell remarried in 1903 to CHAPMAN and children by FOLEY and CHAPMAN.
Would like to know what happen to Thomas FOLEY.

Looking for information on John Washington STEELE, b. abt 1821, KY moved to Indiana where
he met and married Mary Anne FOSTER, b. abt.1832 in Butler Co. Ohio. Her father was Esom
FOSTER and is said to have been a teacher and owner of a grist mill. Also for my
GGrandfather Frank Newton STEELE, b. 8 Mar 1868 on a farm near Terra Haute, d. May 1930 in
Kansas Possible he had a sister Mary Etta STEELE, b. 25 Mar 1863 Jennings IN. Frank Newton
moved to Missouri and then Kansas about 1902. Married Susanna SINGLE, b. 27 April 1870 in
Harrisburg PA, d. Nov 1945 I believe that they met and married in Missouri, marrige date
is 26 March 1890.

I am looking for info on Frosts, James or his son Lewis. James owned a livery stable in
Terre Haute or poss. W.Terre Haute at around turn of this century. He and his wife died
rather young leaving three small children, including Lewis. The children were placed in
Rose Orphanage. I believe at least one was taken by an uncle in area for farm help. My
grfather was Lewis. He was a coal miner who eventually lived in Parke Co. My father was
Charles. Since grfather was an orphan, it is very hard to get any info. I would appreciate
anything.

JONES. She was married to Herbert FUQUA when she died 12-2-1942 and lived at 1349 Locust
