Washington Co., IN. Eli, the son of Mathias and Sally Sheets Harmon. Eli and Anna had the

Eli and family were listed on the 1850 Linton Twp. census, as well as the 1880 Linton Twp.

i am trying to find info about my great grandfather John Henry Harris who lived in Vigo
county in 1900. Married to a Ada Harris had 1 son in 1901, Lilburn Thomas Harris. John
Henry died either in Mo or Ok sometimes after 1910. 2 conflicting stories were told about
his death and the body was never brought back to Indiana for burial. 1 was he died from
exposure to cold in Oklahoma around a train track. The other was he was killed in
Missouri. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for my great-great grandfather, William HATFIELD. He was born in Indiana
about 1830. I believe his father might have been Jacob HATFIELD, born in VA about 1805.
There was a Jacob HATFIELD married in Vigo County on 10/27/1833 to Elizabeth EVERSOLE.
William and his wife, Christiana Butcher (born in Missouri), Jacob, Mary (William's
sister?), and DeWitt Clinton (son of William), were all in Calhoun County, Illinois in
1860, but I believe they all returned to Indiana after 1861. I am trying to find out ANY
information on William or Jacob HATFIELD. Thanks.

JUDD/HATHAWAY. My 3rd great grandfather, Selah JUDD married Judah HATHAWAY about 1820 in
Dearborn County, IN. Judah died 21 July 1880 Vigo County, IN and Selah also died in Vigo
Couty. At some they moved to Vigo County.
They had the following children:
Oliver b. 1821 married 1st Margaret (Morgan) Cassady and 2nd married Phoebe Morgan;
Perlina b. 1823 married Jesse Lamber, Jr; Able; Selah Jr. ; Lydia; Richard ; Charles;
Ruben; Marion; Conrad ; Albert; and John. I would appreciate knowing where Selah and Judah
are buried in Vigo County with directions to the cemetery. And would enjoy hearing
anything else about the rest of this family. They have been very elusive.
Selah was the son of Job JUDD who came to IN from CT after the Rev War via NY. I have a
great deal of information on this family and will be glad to share but am missing the
links of to put my puzzle together.

Looking for information concerning my paternal grandfather and great- grandfather.
My grandfather was John HAUGHEE who was born on March 2, 1879 (whereabouts unknown) and
died in Gary, IN on August 11, 1939. He married Margaret Emma LOUGHMILLER in 1900. I know
he had siblings, one of whom was Presley HAUGHEE, who had 17 children.
My father's (John Alexander) siblings were: Edgar Eugene, Grace Marie MARAGON, Imogene
NEAL, and Margaret Emma, Benjamin Franklin and Cletis Carl, all of whom died either in
birth or very early.
My great-grandfather was Alexander HAUGHEE who was born June 7, 1847 and died on June 1,
1921. He married Mary SHORT, who was born July 12, 1850 and who died on July 7, 1904. My
father married Emma Alice HENRY on February 4, 1925.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

to be born in Vigo County, Terre Haute. The only record I have found is for their youngest
son JESSE NORRIS b.8-19-1888 Terre Haute. His siblings Charles, Nellie, Phenia or Sophenia
and James don't appear in the birth records for Vigo County. If you have ANY information
on this NORRIS family or HICKS surname, I would appreciate hearing from you. Any
information I have, I would be happy to share. This family left Terre Haute and moved on
to Thebes, Illinois Alexander County shortly after 1888.

I am looking for information concerning my grandmother's family line. Her maiden name was
Pearl Hicks. She married Gus Malone sometime in the 1910's. I believe that she was born
and married in Terre Haute and that her father's name may be Marion Hicks. Marion was born
in the late 1860's just outside of Hartford, Kentucky to B.J. and Altha (Bryant) Hicks.
Altha's father, William "Uncle Billy" Bryant was a well known farmer who lived
around Oakland City, Indiana in the 1860's and before. My father was born in Terre Haute
on March 8, 1922 and my grandfather is buried just outside of the city as well. Anyone who
may have information on the Hicks, Malone's, or the Bryant's please fell free to contact

9/1957. His father was Benjamine Franklin Higginson b.1850 d.1932 his mother was Marie

Sanford, Vigo Co, Ind. He was the son of David B. GAGE, born 1822 in N.Y. and Mary Ann
PARENT, born 1837 in Ky. Adra E was the daughter of John Pinkney HOOD, born Knox Co, Tenn
in 1847, son of James Madison HOOD and Mary (Polly) BAKER. He died in 1933 in Indiana.
John P. HOOD married Sarah Elizabeth (Betty) VINEYARD, who was born 1854 in Tenn and died
1921 in Jackson, Sullivan Co, Ind. She was the daughter of John VINEYARD and Sarah
Elizabeth VEACH. Especially interested in Parents of James Madison HOOD and family of John
Pinkney HOOD. The children of Henry D. GAGE and Adra E. HOOD were born in the Vigo and

Abraham was a Rev. War Soldier and his stone is in Baker Creek Cemetery. He married Hannah
Cleaver. Also interested in Sebern Baker and his daughter Elizabeth /Baker who married

Nathaniel A. Hornbeck and Elizabeth Baker had a son William Nathan Hornbeck who married

Co. and Clay Co. Nathaniel also had a daughter Mary Josephine Hornbeck who married Calvin
Ealey in 1880 and they too were Vigo Co. as well as Clay Co.

When their only child was born on 18 Dec 1874 they were residing in Pike CO IN. Minerva
Jane d. sometime bef 1880 probably in either of the 2 counties. I have never found her
listed in cemetery records.

Looking for information on Thomas Clayton HUTCHERSON. He might have been born in or around
Terre Haute apox 1853. He moved to SW Missouri with a sister who returned to Indiana. On
the 1880 census he states his father was born in KY and mother IN. The last name could be
spelled several different ways and still be the same person. Help! please.
