Jacob Butler Passes Away Stricken with Paralysis Last Friday at His Home in Roann, Indiana Is Survived by Six Children and a Bride of Three Weeks - Funeral Wednesday at Two Jacob Butler, formerly of Miami County, died at his home in Roann Sunday afternoon, death being due to a stroke of paralysis which he suffered last Friday after which he gradually became weaker until death came to relieve his suffering. Mr. Butler was born August 11, 1846, north of Peru and was a continual resident of Miami County until within the past two weeks since when he has resided in Roann. In the early part of his life he was united in marriage and to this union were born eight children, six of whom survive. Mr. Butler's first wife preceded him in death eight years ago. On September 30, 1913, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Mina Baker, of Roann and two weeks ago they moved to Roann. Besides the children and his second wife, he is survived by one brother, Frank Butler of Peru and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Showalter of Indianapolis, and also many friends who will be grieved to learn of his death. The funeral services will be held from the United Brethren Church at Roann Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Mr. Swihart officiating. Interment will be made in the Roann Cemetery.
