Funeral services for Gene Leo Hawkins, an 8-year-old Somerset School pupil will be held from the Mill Creek Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. George Miley of Toledo, an uncle of the youth officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
The lad was taken ill with appendicitis last Thursday and died after an emergency operation. 
He is survived by his parents and one brother.
