MATTERN
Wabash, March 6 –
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret M. Mattern, who died shortly before
midnight Tuesday at the Wabash County Hospital, will be held at 2
o’clock Friday afternoon at the Jones Funeral Home with Rev. R. C.
Plank of the First Methodist Church in charge. Burial will be in Falls
Cemetery.
Mrs. Mattern had been ill for the past two weeks. She had been a
resident of Wabash for many years. Following the death of her first
husband, Frank Millspaugh, she was employed in several local stores.
Later she spent some time at the Knightstown Orphans Home as a matron.
Recently she had devoted all of her time to the management of an
apartment house which she owned here. An only son, Merritt Millspaugh,
drowned at Lukens Lake several years ago.
Only survivor is one granddaughter, Patsy Millspaugh of Chicago. The
body will remain at the Jones Funeral Home.
