   Private funeral services for Joy Small, the six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Small, who died after one day’s illness with diphtheria, will be held on Saturday afternoon with Rev. F. F. Oden, pastor of the United Brethren Church at LaFontaine, in charge.

   The child, who was a first-grade pupil in the LaFontaine School became ill on Wednesday evening and was taken to the Wabash County Hospital Thursday afternoon.

   She is survived by her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Ted, Fred, Zen, Gay, and Clay.
