WABASH BOY HIT BY CYCLE DIES Injuries Prove Fatal to Eight-Year-Old Wabash, June 28 – Albert J. Teusch, Jr., eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Teusch of this city died last night at the Wabash County Hospital of injuries received Wednesday evening when he was struck by a bicycle near his home. The boy was playing in the street near his parents’ home when he was struck by a bicycle ridden by Harold Rudicel. At the time he did not appear to be seriously injured and made his way to the house unaided. Later his condition became serious and he was taken to the hospital. Albert was born at Huntington and came here three years ago with his parents. His father is personnel director of the General Tire Company here and formerly was a detective of the State Police force. Surviving are the parents, three sisters, one brother and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Teusch, Sr., of Huntington. Funeral services will be held Monday at 8 am at SS Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church at Huntington, with Rev. William Hoff officiating. Journal-Gazette, Fort Wayne, IN, June 29, 1940.
