MRS. DICIA A. (ROY) CRAWFORD

West Lebanon, Ind. - Mrs. Dicia A. Crawford, 87, of West Lebanon, died at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday (July 20, 1976) at the Brethren Home in Flora, Ind.  She had been a patient there since June 28 and had been ill three months.  Mrs. Crawford had resided in Warren County all of her life and was a resident of West Lebanon since 1936. 

Born Aug. 31, 1888, near Marshfield, she was the daughter of James Roy and Fairy French Salts.  She was married in 1915 at Williamsport to Donald P. Crawford Sr., who died in 1936.  Mrs. Crawford was a graduate of West Lebanon High and Winona College at Marion She had been a court reporter and private secretary.  She had been employed for many years at the REMC as a secretary, retiring in 1955.  She was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church. 

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Max (Marguerite) Whitten of Indianapolis; three sons, Donald T. of Yeoman, Ind., Robert G. of Lakeside, Calif., and George W. of West Lebanon; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fisher Funeral Home.  The Rev. Leonard Largent and the Rev. Henry Koch will officiate.  Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery.  Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
