grandfather is on your site.  J. David Bush 1801- 25 Aug 1848. He was mustered 
out through Madison Indiana on 28 Jul 1848 and was in the 5th Regiment, Indiana 
Infantry.  My cousin and I are trying to find more about him for genealogical 
purposes and to find where he was buried at. According to family history he was 
mortally wounded and died a few days afterwards from the wounds suffered in 
the Mexican War. He was married to a Roxalania Minter who later moved to 
Kentucky and died of illness therein.  His father was Benjamin Bush from Parke 
County Indiana, originally from Pennsylvania.  No one seems to have an idea where 
he is buried at back in Indiana. I was wondering if you have info on this that would 
help me out to locate and let others know he died for his country those long ago 
years back.  J. David Bush's grandfather, Captain John Bush was a Revolutionary 
War vet and we have records and pictures of his final resting place from Danby New 
York.  I was pleased and grateful to see the page devoted to the Indiana veterans 
and my ancestors name in it. A lot of my family were in major conflicts and did not 
wait to be called to duty but went and volunteered instead. A lot of our families 
lives have been affected because of wars.  J. David's children were left fatherless 
and poor due to his service.  Parke county Indiana records showed this that my 
cousin obtained. The Civil war devastated his children's home in the south when
