CLARA ARTHUR PASSES AWAY Clara Belle Arthur, 86, RR#4 Harrison Township died Sunday at 11:50 a.m. in the local hospital after a week's serious illness. Her health had been failing several years. Mrs Arthur was born in Knox Co, Ind Dec 24, 1866 the daughter of Jesse & Susan (Johnson) Lett, coming to Daviess County when a small girl. She was a member of the Baptist Church On Sept 12, 1886 she married William Arthur & he passed away June 2, 1982. To this union two children were born, Mrs Clyde (Ursula ) Wallace, died in 1947 & a son Henry Hamilton Arthur lives in Harrison Township. She also leaves 10 grandchildren 14 great grand children & a sister, Mrs. Carrie Armes. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Gill chapel with the Rev Clyde Wake in charge. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery. Friends may call at Gill's to pay their respects.
