Agnes Brennan

Mrs. Agnes M. Brennan, 79 Hwy.50 E., died at 3 p.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lester Jones, where she had been making her home since December. Mrs. Brennan had been in failing health & was seriously ill since Monday. She was born Sept.2, 1897 in Daviess County to John & Mary( Negele) Miller. She and Timothy(Tim) C. Brennan were married July 24, 1916 & he died May 1, 1962. A lifetime resident of this community, Mrs. Brennan was educated in Washington schools & was a member of St. Simon's Catholic Church & the Daughters of Isabella. She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Lester( Helen) Jones, Rt# 2; Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Combs, Rt. 3; Mrs. Margaret Dant, Bloomington; Mrs. James( MaryAlice) Norris, O'Fallon, Illinois; ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one brother, Fred Miller, Rt. 3; & two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Wininger, city; & Mrs. Mary F. Jordan, Cincinnati Ohio. Five brothers, two sisters & two grandchildren are deceased. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Simon's Church with interment in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ed Lee Mortuary after 7 p.m. today & members of St. Simon's parish & friends will pray a rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home & D of I services will follow the rosary.
