Lillian Colbert Cissell

Lillian June Cissell, 65, formerly of 1802 Vincennes Ave., died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 15, 1941, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Rev. Naomi S. (Scudder) and Fred Davis Colbert.
A 1959 graduate of Washington High School, she was a former employee of Goodwill Industries and managed the local outlet for 10 years. She was a 52-year member of Vincennes Avenue Wesleyan Church, where she played piano and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also the church secretary and treasurer.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. John Cissell, whom she married May 7, 1960; daughters and son-in-law Rev. Jewell and Gene Gilley of Washington and Joy Payne of Coulee City, Wash.; sons and daughter-in-law John Cissell and Jeff and Alina Cissell, all of Washington; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Ingram of Petersburg; and one brother, Fred A. Colbert of Veedersburg.
A daughter, Janice Stone; a sister, Joan Barnes; and a brother, Ralph Dale Colbert; are deceased.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vincennes Avenue Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Byron Holtsclaw officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Gill Chapel and after noon Tuesday at the church.
