Clara E. Clements

Clara E. Clements, 77, of Washington, died at 4:15 p.m. Monday at her residence. Born Aug. 2, 1931, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Marvin and Marie (Ash) Ruckreigle. She attended Montgomery schools and was a member of St. Simon’s Catholic Church. She was a retired nurse’s aide and had worked at Daviess Community Hospital and Washington Nursing Center. She was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Larry Hill of Washington; a son, Rickey James Clements of Plainville; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Her husband, Earl Loyd James Clements, whom she married Dec. 31, 1953, died Jan. 29, 2000. One son, Mark Clements, and one brother, Francis Ruckreigle, are also deceased. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Cemetery, with Yvonne Evans officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being made through Gill Chapel.
