Jeanette Gould Gregory

ELKHART -- Jeanette M. Gregory, 95, of Elkhart, died Nov. 15, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 23, 1915, in Daviess County, to Charles and Jessie (Buzan) Gould. She married Nathan C. Gregory on Dec. 1, 1934. He died Jan. 14, 1988.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth L. (Lori) Gregory and Ardith B. (Grace) Gregory, both of Elkhart; three daughters, Darlene Johnson of Elkhart, Devonna (Leland) Sanders of North Manchester and Patricia Gregory of Elkhart; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Davis of Griffin, Ga.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Norman, John, Everett, Edward and Charles Gould; and three sisters, Helen Hedrick, Lillian Potts and Givonna Gould.
Mrs. Gregory was a retired nurses aid for various nursing homes and provided in-home care for the elderly. She was also a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church, Elkhart. She volunteered for various programs at the church.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Prairie Street Cemetery and a celebration of life memorial service will follow at noon Wednesday at Central Christian Church, Elkhart. Dr. Mike Wills will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the church or Care at Home Hospice Services, Goshen. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart, is assisting the family with arrangements.
