Robert "Bob" Hart

MONTGOMERY — Robert “Bob” Hart, 76, died at 11:40 a.m. at Martin County Healthcare and Rehab Center. Born Dec. 8, 1930, in Daviess County, he was the son of Louis and Essie (Sellers) Hart. He was a lifetime farmer, a member of All Saints Catholic Church, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, a Knights of Columbus member and had driven a school bus for the Barr-Reeve School Corp. for 25 years. He was a former owner and operator of Farmers Bar, served as a Democratic Precinct Committeeman, served on the election board and the Prairie Creek Conservancy District Board, and was a seed salesman for many years. He is survived by his wife, Lois (Jones) Hart, whom he married March 15, 1952; daughters and son-in-law, Karen and John Olsen of Terre Haute and Jamie Armes of Seymour; sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin Hart of Cannelburg, Jeff Hart of Montgomery, Brett Hart of Florida, and Brian and Michelle Hart of Greenwood; one brother, Bill Hart of Cannelburg; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parent and one brother, Charles Hart. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg, with Rev. James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Montgomery.
