Helen Taylor Havely

INDIANAPOLIS-Helen (Taylor) Havely, 77, died of natural causes Wednesday at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, Indianapolis. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at Broad Ripple.
She was born on March 15, 1921 in Daviess County to Lawrence R. and Nancy Myrtle (Potts) Taylor. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Turner (Bud) C. Havely.
Havely worked as a machine operator for Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors Plant #3 and #5. She also worked at the Indiana State Capital Building under John Welch. Furthermore, she worked as a cosmetologist for Wm. H. Block Co. Downtown Store and prior to that she was a co-owner of NayCo. Distributing Co. for 20 years in Muncie. She was educated at Washington High School. Surviving are two sons, Kelly and Kerry Nay; a daughter, Kandi Lynn Nay-Morgan; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and six sisters, Sally White, Bertha Troutman, Emma Jane Martin, Mary Hamilton, Grace Kern and Shirley Heffner.
