SHERMAN HEDRICK, RETIRED, DIES
Sherman Hedrick, 92 years old, 220 Ogden street, died at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Godwin nursing home following a serious illness of only a few days. He had been in failing health for several months. A retired self-employed painter and decorator, he was born March 4, 1869 in Daviess County, the son of James and Sarah (Fields) Hedrick, and was married to Susan McNeil who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness church. Surviving are two children, Harold Hedrick, Daytona Beach, Florida, and Bessie Hedrick, city. Mr. Hedrick was the last of his family. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the V. L. Poindexter chapel with Rev. Gerald Leavell in charge and burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
