Mrs. Turner Huls
Mrs. Mary Huls, the wife of Turner Huls, a well known citizen of near Alfordsville, died at the Robert E. Long hospital at Indianapolis last Thursday while undergoing an operation for goitre. She has been in failing health because of the ailment for some time and as a last resort to save her life it was decided to take her to the hospital for an operation. Her death came directly from profuse bleeding following the operation. Mrs. Huls was fifty-two years old. She was born April 25, 1870 near Alfordsville and had lived there all her life. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Leona Hedrick and was the mother of eleven children. Three of them are dead and the living are: Mrs. Pearl Hedrick and Leland Huls of Indianapolis; Mrs. Leona Arvin, Lester, Howard, Arthur, Norman, and Ralph, who are living at and near home. The funeral services were held at Old Union church Sunday afternoon and were attended by a large circle of the friends and relatives of the highly respected woman.
