Esther Mae Keith

Esther Mae Keith, 89, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday at her residence. Born June 22, 1920, in Washington, she was the daughter of Edgar and Myrtle (Kilburn) Fleenor. A 1939 graduate of Washington High School, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Get Together Homemakers, Washington Garden Club, and the church Boosters Class. She is survived by her husband, Ralph H. Keith, whom she married Feb. 23, 1940; son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Sue Keith of Washington; grandchildren, Erica Keith of Washington, Jordan Keith of Virginia Beach, and Andrew Keith of Washington; and great-grandson, Nolan Adamson of Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley Keith; a sister, Mary Ruth Bateman; and brothers, Roy, Ralph, Willie, Norman and her twin, Lester Fleenor. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gill Chapel, with Rev. Lennie Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
