FORMER ODON WOMAN DIES
MRS. MARY NOLLEY, 52 WIFE OF GEORGE NOLLEY, SUCCUMBS AT COUNTY HOSPITAL SATURDAY
Mrs. Mary M. Nolley, aged fifty-two years, wife of George W. Nolley living in Steele township, northwest of Hyatt station, died Saturday morning at the Daveiss county hospital. Death of Mrs. Nolley came following an operation for gall stones. She had been in a serious condition for two weeks and was brought to the hospital Thursday.
Mrs. Nolley was born in Daviess county May 5, 1877, the daughter of Enoch and Susan (Chestnut) Franklin. She married George W. Nolley in February of 1889. To this union nine children were born, one daughter preceding the mother in death. For a number of years they lived in this community and are well known here.
Mrs. Nolley was a member of the Concord Christian church.
Surviving children are Edward and Cecil Nolley of Steele township, and Donald, Vernon, Virgil, Franklin and George Jr., at home. Louis Franklin of Bogard township and Ida Franklin are surviving brother and sister. There are also three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First Christian church in this city Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock with Rev. C.H. Buchanan in charge. Burial was made at Walnut Hill.
