Geneva Peachee

Mrs. Geneva Peachee, 87, formerly of Lynwood Drive, Washington, of Hillside Manor Nursing Center, died in the Emergency Room of the Daviess County Hospital at 11:38 a.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel with Bro. Byron Black officiating. Interment will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Eastern Star memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born February 3, 1908 in Daviess County to John and Alta Holder Brittain. She married Bernard Peachee July 27, 1927 and he died May 11, 1988.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, member and Past Matron of the Glendale Eastern Star and a member of a Homemakers Club.

Surviving are one daughter and one son, Mrs. Norma Whitaker, Whiteland, and Ronald R. Peachee, Evansville, and a grandson reared by Mr. and Mrs. Peachee, Steve Jones, Washington; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Dana Lee Keller, two sisters and two brothers, have died.
