Morgan Potts

Veteran of the Spanish-American War Died at His Home Here This Morning
Morgan Potts, aged 68, a veteran of the Spanish-American War, died this morning at 10 o'clock at his home, 1818 West Walnut Street. Mr. Potts was born December 22, 1861, in Reeve Township, Daviess County, the son of John C. and Elizabeth (Allen) Potts. For 26 years Mr. Potts served in the regular army and was in the service during the Spanish-American war. Surviving children are Taylor Potts of Washington, James Potts of Gibson County, Thomas Potts of Daviess County, George Potts of Washington, Maurice Potts of Daviess County, George Potts of Knox County and Mrs. Catherine Ishum of Washington. Funeral arrangements have not been made. James A. Gill will have charge of the funeral.

NOTE: Death Record gives birth as 1861 & death as 13 March 1930; Children named in this obit are mixed with siblings.
