DIES WHILE VISITING SON
Died Around Noon Yesterday at Son's Home
Ulysses Grant Potts, 82, passed away at 12:15 Wednesday morning while visiting in Terre Haute. His wife, the former Fanny Farris, and the following children survive: Mrs. Stella Catt, Petersburg; Mrs. Bertha Mahoney, New York; Mrs. Pearl Prothroe, Florida; Mrs. Carrie Gilley of this city; Benjamin Potts of Terre Haute; James Potts of Huntingburg, W VA; and Louis Potts of this city. Twenty-five grandchildren are living. Two brothers, Sherman Potts of this city and Anderson Potts of St. Francisville, IN (sic); also survive. Services will be at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gill's Funeral Home with burial in Oak Grove cemetery. Friends may call at Gill's after noon. Monday, 24 Dec 1945, p1: LAST RITES FOR U. GRANT POTTS Funeral services for U. Grant Potts were held at Sunday afternoon at Gill's Funeral Chapel with burial in Oak Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were: Harold Gilley, Walter, Emmett Mahoney, Wilkes Ragsdale, John Kehoe, and Melvin Potts.
