Hazel Robbins Shelton

Mrs. Hazel E. Shelton, 86, Jamestown Square, died at the Loogootee Nursing Center at 7:35 a.m. today. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Alfordsville Christian Church with Bro. Alfred Helm officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Reeve Township. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Gill Funeral Home. The casket will be taken to the church at noon Monday. She was born January 19, 1900 at Correctionville, Iowa, to John P. and Georgia A. Varner Robbins. She married Earl F. Shelton February 25, 1921 and he died in 1953. She was a member of the Alfordsville Christian Church. Surviving are three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Cox, Washington, Mrs. Billy (Frances) Yokem and Mrs. Pat (Phyllis) Williams, both of Alfordsville, Wayne L. Shelton, Washington, Raymond A. Shelton, English, Clarence E. Shelton, Alfordsville, 22 grandchildren, 40 great randchildren, one great great grandchild, and three brothers, Merlin Robbins, Zephyn Hills, Wisconsin, Lawrence Robbins, Wisconsin, and Robert Robbins, Rapids, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by one grandchild and two brothers.
