Ex-Resident Taken By Death Funeral Will Be Held Friday Morning At Loogootee - Died in Beech Grove Loogootee, Indiana, December 15, 1943 - Howard Strange, 65, died at St. Frances Hospital at Beech Grove last night at 8 p.m. He was born January 1, 1878, the son of Thomas H. and Mary Jane (McIntyre) Strange. He married Alice Patterson, who preceded him in death several years ago. Surviving children are Joseph Dale, Paul Vernon, Thomas Ivan, all of Indianapolis, Mrs. Avery Smith of Loogootee and Mrs. Waldo Nicholson of Washington. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: William I. Strange of Shoals; Mrs. Jennie Gootee, of Loogootee and Mrs. Hinton on near Corning. The funeral will be held at St. John's Church Friday morning at 9 a.m., burial following in St. John's Cemetery. The Norris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
