Historic 1937-1947 List
Peppertown Lutheran Church
Cemetery Donors

Historical Value

This list has family history value because it identifies people with an interest in preserving the Peppertown Lutheran Church Cemetery in Franklin County, Indiana between 1937 and 1947. It also provides commonly used names and nicknames.

History of the List

Beginning in 1937, residents and visitors in the Salt Creek Township area were encouraged to donate money to a perpetual endowment fund to help maintain this Peppertown cemetery. The solicitation was as follows:
The Peppertown Lutheran Church Cemetery Association requests your help with funds to be added to the trust fund now being formed, the income of which to be used for perpetual care of our cemetery. All donations and gifts, large or small, will be gratefully received. Please send all donations to Mr. Will M. Baker, Secretary-Treasurer of the Association, at Brookville, Indiana.
