Bocock-Hobaugh Cemetery
July 2000

We found some fallen dead trees in the area. This dead tree seems like it has been like this for some time. Perhaps this is the dead log that Elizabeth, granddaughter of George Hobaugh, would pass by on her way to visit her grandfather. She mentioned her journey through the dense woods by the cemetery being unpleasant, and she was often fearful of "a great log by the path, which to her childish imagination was the place of concealment of "wood ogres." (Lest we Forget, History Department of Marion High School, page 22.)
This is the view from inside the woods on our way out.
This is another view of the wooded area where the cemetery is located.
And we return back through the path through the woods where we began.
Return to the beginning.
