My family has been in Steuben since abt 1835. My grandfather had the Swift Funeral Home in Hamilton, then my uncle. My other family is Gideon Ball, Ball Lake. I also have Dodges, Keplers, Reed.  I have a photo of a little girl in a casket, she looks about 4, we have no idea who it is, and the photographer in McMahan, stamped on the front.  It is obviously a professional photo, about Victorian age --  Early 20’s?

Any information on the photo, or who the little girl is, would be appreciated.

I'm attaching one of a few photos I have that puzzle me. I know the setting is in Steuben County, but I don't know where, or what the occasion is. I know that the woman standing in the back, just to the viewer's right of the white porch column, is my paternal great grandmother, Cornelia (Allen) Letts; I know that the man seated in front, fourth from the viewer's left, is my paternal great grandfather, Nelson Letts. Who anyone else is, I do not know. If anyone recognizes any of the people here, or knows what occasioned the photo, I would be grateful for the information.
