TIMES MAIL Vangie Mary Thompson of Springville, IN, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Dunn Memorial Hospital.  Born on August 3, 1902, in Wayne County, KY, she was the daughter of John and Melinda (Black) Neely.  She married Rathmiel Thompson on September 4, 1919, and he died September 3, 1995. Surviving are five sons:  Hobert and Don Thompson, both of Springville, IN, Delmar Thompson of Owensburg, IN, Dallas Thompson of Monroe County, IN, and Charles Thompson of Switz City, IN; three daughters:  Pauline Coursey, Martha Phillips, and Jeanna Bosell, all of Springville, IN; twenty-eight grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren, and forty-four great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by three sons, Roy, Paul Junior, and Freddy Thompson; seven brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Pentecostal Church. Services for Vangie Thompson will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 27th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Larry Hawkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
 
TIMES MAIL Robert Thompson of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at Dunn Memorial Hospital.  Born on Demeber 9, 1911, in Wayne County, KY, he was the son of Charlie and Jane (Keith) Thompson.  He married Madeline Flynn on February 22, 2933, and she survives. Surviving with his wife are four sons and daughters-in-law: Robert Jr. and Ann Thompson of Bedford, IN, Larry Dean and Margarete Thompson of Mitchell, IN, Harold Eugene and Sharon Thompson of Bloomington, IN, and Errol Wayn and Mary Lou Thompson of Oolitic, IN; one brother, Arter Thompson of Springville, IN; one sister, Alice Powell of Springville, IN; thirteen grandchildren, twnety-one great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Rathmiel Thompson, and four sisters:  Lydia Taylor, Ottie Phillips, Pearlie Kidd, Bessie Phillips, and one in infancy; one daughter, Wilma Jean Thompson in infancy; and one great-granddaughter, Jana Lynn. He was a retired carpenter for McIntyre Bros Construction and a member of the Carpenter's Union Local #546 of Vincennes.  He attended the Oak Grove Pentecostal Church. Services for Robert Thompson will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Larry Hawkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
 
TIMES MAILMadeline Thompson of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at Westview Manor.  Born on October 8, 1916, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Floyd and Sarah (Wright) Flynn.  She married Robert Thompson on February 22, 1933, and he died on April 28, 2002. Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law:  Robert J. and Ann Thompson of Bedford, IN, Larry Dean and Margarete Thompson of Mitchell, IN, Harold Eugene and Sharon Thompson of Bloomington, IN, and Errol Wayne and Mary Lou Thompson of Oolitic, IN; two brothers, Darrell Flynn of Bedford, IN, and Robert Flynn of Kokomo, IN; three sisters:  Louise Page of Springville, IN, Carole Baker of Bedford, IN, and Betty Veatch of Bloomfield, IN; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; three brothers; one daughter, Wilma Jean Thompson; and two great-granddaughters, Jana Lynn Tomlinson and Candy Borden. She was a homemaker and attended Oak Grove Pentecostal Church.   She was a member of the American Red Cross. Services for Madeline Thompson will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 22nd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastors Keith Thompson and Larry Hawkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until the service time Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
